Born in Busan, South Korea, she moved to the Philippines after her father's business ventures in Korea ended. She's an only child and a member of the well-known Pangilinan clan in the country.At an early age, Eva has shown interest in performing arts. As a result of the influence she received from her cousins, many of whom work in the entertainment industry, she vowed to be the one who’ll perform on stage. Her parents helped her by enrolling her in voice and acting lessons.After taking the HUMSS strand in Ateneo de Manila Senior High School, she chose to take Theatre Arts at the University of the Philippines - Diliman. There, she met a lot of amazing colleagues as well as her mentors in the theater industry. She joined Dulaang UP when she was in her second year, and from there, she devoted her time directing, writing, and acting during her stay.At first, she wasn’t there to act, but to gain more knowledge in directing and writing. This all changed when one of the cast members called in sick. Since she was the director in training, she memorized the script in her free time to be familiar with directing using it; her senior director suggested making her stand in as one of the casts in Fuente Ovejuna.Between studying and joining Dulaang UP, she also found an interest in learning music production. She first used Logic Pro as her tool in producing song covers and, later, writing original songs and beats. She was discovered by the local music label, Offshore Music, on a now-deleted SoundCloud account and went under them to improve her skills for one year.Right now, Eva is busy juggling between producing, recording, and collaborating with other artists (under New Dawn Rising Entertainment), and being a musical director/actress in the theater industry.
