Born in Busan, South Korea, she later moved to the Philippines after her father's business ventures in Korea came to an end. She is an only child and a member of the well-known Pangilinan clan in the country.At an early age, Eva showed a strong interest in performing arts. Influenced by her cousins, many of whom work in the entertainment industry, she became determined to perform on stage. Her parents supported her by enrolling her in voice and acting lessons.After taking the HUMSS strand at Ateneo de Manila Senior High School, she pursued Theatre Arts at the University of the Philippines - Diliman. There, she built meaningful connections with colleagues and mentors in the theater industry. She joined Dulaang UP in her second year and dedicated her time to directing, writing, and acting throughout her stay.Initially, she did not intend to act, focusing instead on directing and writing. This changed when a cast member fell ill. As a director in training, she had already memorized the script during her free time to better understand the material. Her senior director then suggested that she step in as one of the cast members in Fuente Ovejuna.While balancing her studies and work with Dulaang UP, she also developed an interest in learning music production. She began using Logic Pro to produce song covers, later progressing to writing original songs and beats. She was discovered by the local music label Offshore Music through a now-deleted SoundCloud account and trained under them for a year to further refine her skills.Currently, Eva balances producing, recording, and collaborating with other artists under New Dawn Rising Entertainment, while also working as a musical director and actress in the theater industry.
